Job Description
As an Application Chemist at Givaudan, the selected candidate will be responsible for the preparation of fragrance applications in various bases, particularly focusing on soap and detergent bar samples. This role involves providing essential support to meet the needs of creative, development, and sales teams, as well as external customers. The Application Chemist will closely coordinate with the lab team to facilitate successful applications and ensure process continuity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fragrance applications in different bases, ensuring quality, precision, and accuracy.
- Act as the point of contact in the lab for specific customer projects.
- Administer sample requests and order fragrance oils.
- Perform physical-chemical measurements and assist in updating technical documentation.
- Prepare internal bases and conduct colour matching as per client requests.
- Operate and maintain standard lab equipment, ensuring a clean laboratory environment.
- Record and communicate results accurately and promptly.
- Supervise and mentor junior technicians and trainees.
Eligibility Criteria
- Degree or higher education qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of lab experience in application labs and stability-related areas.
- Understanding of laboratory techniques applied to perfumery.
- Fluency in English and knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
- Technical knowledge of fragrances and relevant product categories, formulation, and application.
- Strong record-keeping skills and attention to detail.
