| Milestone Design & Regulatory Alignment | Ensure alignment with applicable regulatory and quality frameworks, including ND&CT Rules, 2019, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Medical Devices Rules, and relevant domestic/international standards. Verify that supporting documentation is complete, current, and sufficient for evaluation. |
| Budget & Plan Due Diligence | Review project plans for cost rationality, resource realism, co-funding evidence, and adherence to scheme expenditure guidelines. Recommend project re-phasing where necessary. |
| Monitoring & Disbursals | Review progress reports, evaluate extension/variance and utilization requests, recommend milestone disbursals or withholds, conduct site/virtual visits and third-party validations, and submit visit reports and non-conformance notes. |

| Essential Experience | 3–8 years of post-qualification experience in drug R&D (discovery, pre-clinical, clinical and/or CMC) in industry, CRO, academia, or government programmes. | Core Knowledge | Proposal appraisal, scientific merit assessment, novelty & FTO (basic), feasibility analysis, development planning, risk assessment, timelines, PRIP priority areas, CDSCO pathways, ND&CT Rules (2019), Ethics Committees, GMP/QMS basics, biologics/biosimilars analytical similarity and comparability overview. |
