Job Description
The Tata Steel apprenticeship program offers trainees a one-year on-the-job plant training experience under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and its amendments. During this period, candidates will receive a stipend in accordance with the Apprenticeship Act, shared by Tata Steel Limited and the government, based on NATs and NAPs guidelines. Candidates will be registered on the Apprenticeship Portal (NAPS for ITI and
NATS 2.0 for Diploma). Upon successful completion, candidates will undergo assessments through a written test and interview, leading to the award of a one-year apprenticeship completion certificate from SNTI. This program is an excellent starting point for those looking to establish a career in the steel industry.Responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training across various sections of Tata Steel.
- Receive a stipend as per the Apprenticeship Act during the training period.
- Complete registration on the Apprenticeship Portal.
- Undergo assessments at the end of the training program.

Eligibility Criteria
- B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering.
- ITI in Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, or Welder.
- Non-Engineering Graduate – BSc with Chemistry or BBA with Computer knowledge.
- Non-Engineering Graduate – BA (Only for ST community).
- Pass-out or appearing candidates from 2026, with the passing year on or after 2021.
- Age between 1st July 2001 and 1st July 2008 (both dates included).
- Candidates who have already done, left, or are currently doing their apprenticeship from other organizations will not be considered.
- Candidates must have an Aadhaar-seeded bank account and a PAN Card linked to Aadhaar for stipend processing.
