Job Description:
The Chemist I will perform standard chemical and physical analysis of both inner and outer nutritional products in the quality control lab. Utilizing both wet chemistry techniques and instrumental analyses, this role is essential for ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards. This chemist job is
pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the products offered by Herbalife.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing, including qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples.
- Prepare standards and reagents; calibrate and operate sophisticated laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, FTIR, and UV-Visible spectrophotometer.
- Review product certificates of analysis for accuracy and conformance, maintaining C of A files.
- Conduct routine calibration and performance verification of lab equipment and instrumentation.
- Provide input on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Test Methods, and other relevant laboratory documents.
- Participate in investigations, address Out of Specifications (OOS), resolve deviations, and implement CAPA with general supervision.
- Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), documenting data in lab notebooks.
- Interpret test results, compare with determined standards and limits, and verify data trends under general supervision.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience is required.
- Bachelor/Master of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific fields.
- Knowledge of LC/MS and GC/MS.
- Previous experience with cGMP regulation and compliance.
- Nutraceutical or pharmaceutical laboratory work experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO17025 Lab Management.
