Job Description
The Analytical Technologist will support analytical chemistry research by developing and implementing advanced analytical methods for low-carbon technology projects. This Chemistry Job involves operating sophisticated analytical instruments, interpreting scientific data, supporting catalyst characterization, and collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams to solve complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, standards-adherent experimental operations, contributing to a proactive safety culture.
- Guide in analytical science and surface analysis techniques to address complex problems across business areas.
- Apply theoretical and practical laboratory expertise, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instrumentation safely and effectively.
- Contribute to experimental design and result interpretation.
- Partner with management to develop and implement the analytical strategy for the team.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related analytical science field, or equivalent experience.
- Practical research experience in laboratory-scale reaction testing equipment, such as XRD, GC, and MS.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in catalyst characterization techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting technical information effectively.
