Job Description

This Chemical Engineering Job 2026 involves leading process design activities for energy sector projects. The selected candidate will prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), perform engineering calculations, and conduct heat and material balance analysis. The role includes process simulations using industry tools

and preparation of equipment and instrument datasheets. The Lead Process Designer will coordinate with instrumentation, piping, and mechanical teams to ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, and other industry standards while supporting oil & gas, LNG, refining, and petrochemical engineering assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Perform process simulations and engineering calculations.
  • Conduct heat and material balance calculations.
  • Prepare process datasheets for equipment and instruments.
  • Support design and selection of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and separators.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, and industry standards.
  • Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and risk assessment studies.
  • Review vendor drawings and provide technical support during project execution stages.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering may also be considered.
  • Experience working on engineering projects in energy, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Chemical Engineering concepts and process design principles.
  • Experience in Process Designer roles.
  • Knowledge of PFD and P&ID development.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, AVEVA Diagrams, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO-II, and UniSim.
  • Understanding of piping systems, valves, instrumentation, and safety systems.
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, IEC, and NFPA standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
