Job Overview
BASF India Coatings Private Limited is hiring for the position of Trainee Officer – Matching & Styling under its Research & Development division in Mangalore. This Chemical Engineering Job is ideal for candidates interested in automotive coatings, color technology, and product development

Requirements
- Qualification: B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, M.Sc Chemistry, Diploma in Surface Coatings
- Experience Required: 1–3 years of experience in automotive coating development.
Responsibilities:
- Execute color development for a specific customer under guidance
- Execute color matching, duplication of unknown color with the target panel made by competitors under superior’s direction.
- Execute color styling, new color creation without a certain target panel from the customer under superior’s direction.
- Operate the new color development by cooperating with Key KAMs/TPM and distributor.
- Improve profitability under guidance
- Operate new color development based on technical guidelines for pigmentation under superior’s direction.
- Support ISO & IATF activities related to the Color team under the direction of the Tech Manager.
- Form the best team
- Provide technical leadership and technical guidance to other junior team members.
- Communicate well with Customization team members and related sections like Production & SCM.
- Brush up one’s expertise and contribute to strengthening the company’s overall technological competence.
- EHS compliance
- Ensure and foster EHS compliance with BASF guidelines, Code of Conduct, Values and principles
- Support ISO14001 activities related to the Color team under the direction of the Tech Manager.
- Carry out 5S activities and keep no accident/incident and injuries in the workplace
