Job Overview:
Pon Pure Chemicals is inviting applications for the position of Safety Officer in Tamil Nadu. This Chemistry Freshers Job welcomes both freshers and experienced candidates with an Industrial Safety background. The selected candidates will support workplace safety initiatives, conduct safety inspections, organize employee safety training, monitor statutory compliance, and contribute to maintaining high Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across manufacturing plants and branch locations.
Key Responsibilities for this Chemistry Freshers Job:
- Conduct safety induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Organize daily Safety Tool Box Talks.
- Perform routine plant safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions.
- Monitor Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory.
- Issue and monitor safety work permits.
- Participate in JSA, HAZOP, PSSR, and HIRA activities.
- Inspect emergency response equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Conduct workplace safety awareness and training programs.
- Plan and execute emergency mock drills.
- Organize First Aid and Fire Fighting training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Maintain safety reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
- Support continuous workplace safety improvement initiatives.
Educational Requirements:
Candidates with any of the following qualifications are eligible:
- B.Sc Chemistry + Diploma in Safety
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering + Diploma in Safety
Experience:
- Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome.
- Candidates with an Industrial Safety background will be preferred.
