Project Details
- Title of the Project: “Uncovering Mechanisms For Metabolic Serine Hydrolases in Host Defense”

Minimum educational Qualification: M.Sc. / B.Tech in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Bioengineering / Chemistry with minimum 70% marks / equivalent grade.
Additional percentage cut-off will be applied during the screening process, if needed.
Preference
Candidates having the following will be preferred:
- Work experience or MS project in a Drosophila genetics or genomics laboratory.
- Candidates passing a National exam (CSIR-NET, DBT-NET, GATE, JGEEBILS).
- Basic degree in Biochemistry or Genetics.
Job requirement
The incumbent is expected to do the following:
- Conduct research on Serine Hydrolases in Drosophila.
- Assist in management of the project.
Consolidated emoluments per month
Rs. 30,000 + 30% House Rent Allowance.
Rs. 37,000 + 30% House Rent Allowance for candidate having a valid CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT – JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
Tenure of the appointment
Initially for a period of 1 year extendable for a further period subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent.
Age limit as on last date of submission of application.
Not more than 30 years
Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for applicant/s having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
