This Govt Research Job is purely temporary and initially offered for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview. Selected experts will work

on project-based assignments involving environmental assessment, field surveys, air quality modelling, and environmental management planning.

Online Interview

Applications are invited from expert personnel on “Meteorology, Air Quality Modelling and Prediction”. The selected expert will work as an empanelled functional area expert (FAE) in “Meteorology, Air Quality Modelling and Prediction”, for NABET-related activities at CSMCRI.

Functional Area Expert: 01 Post

Educational Qualification Specific to Functional Area:

Engineering- Environmental/Civil/Chemical, or Master’s (postgraduate) degree in Meteorology/Environmental Sciences/Environment Management/Environmental Studies/Industrial Pollution Control/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Atmospheric Sciences and the like.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Functional Area Expertise required: Meteorology, Air Quality Modelling and Prediction (AQ).
  2. The person selected will be required to visit the Institute or any other place as per the requirements of the project, for performing his/her duty.
  3. Remuneration will be on an EIA project basis, and the same will be decided on mutual consent.
  4. Entitled to AC-II tier train fare for travel required for field survey/project related activities.
  5. Boarding and lodging cost will be borne by CSIR-CSMCRI as per CSIR rules.

Duration of Association: Initially for a period of 3 years, which can be further extended/renewed with mutual discussions at that time.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To conduct field surveys such as selection of site and monitoring stations, collection of secondary data.
  • Planning of Ambient Air Quality monitoring and interpretation of collected data.
  • To use appropriate models for predicting air pollutant dispersion and ground truth validation.
  • Impact prediction, preparation of reports and drawing the environmental management plan.
  • To report to our office as and when required, and intimation will be given at least 1 week in advance.
  • To maintain utmost secrecy in respect of project documents, plans, drawings and findings.
