Recruitment of Scientific/Technical Personnel

  • Position: Laboratory Assistant-1 (LA-1, without national eligibility test)
  • Title of the Project: Investigating the synergistic interactions between Ayurvedic herbal formulations and antimicrobial agents using system-level metabolomics
  • Funding Agency: ANRF-ECRG (Project ID: 2025/003927/CS)
  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Fellowship Amount: 25000 + HRA
  • Tenure of the Post: Initial contract is for 1 year and is extendable based on the performance of the candidate till the termination of project
  • Age: Maximum 30

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • MSc Chemistry with 60% marks (as prescribed by the funding agency)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Analytical science background with experience in mass spectrometry sample preparation, method creation, data acquisition and analysis. Knowledge in metabolomics and proteomics is advantageous.

  • Candidates are advised to mention in the application form, all relevant qualifications and experience for the position applied for. The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum.   • Appointment to the post is governed by the terms and conditions laid down by the funding agency for the specific project and for the specific post.
  • The qualifying degree of the candidate for the position applied for must be from a recognized University/Institution.
  • The Selection Committee does shortlisting of candidates constituted for this purpose, if the number of applications received is high. Shortlisting is done taking into consideration the qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
  • No Travelling Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be paid for appearing for the interview.
  • Selected candidates are required to join duty at the earliest on receipt of the offer letter.
  • Appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically on closure of the research project, without any further notice or compensation.
  • The appointed candidate does not have any right to claim appointment or absorption into the job supported by the funding agency or IISER Thiruvananthapuram during the research project or after the closure of the research project.
