Job Description

The project requires continuous experimental work on graded SPEEK-SCNO membrane synthesis and optimization. It involves extensive characterization and fuel cell testing for performance and durability. Requires modeling and simulation to understand transport and degradation. Needs dedicated support for MEA fabrication, data analysis, and reporting. Ensures timely, high-quality execution of project objectives.

Essential Qualification(s)

  • A Master’s Degree (M. Tech/ME/MS) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or a degree equivalent with First Class/ division or a minimum 60% marks or a minimum 6.5 CGPA. OR
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech /BE/BS) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering/ Technology, or a degree equivalent to any of the above in a relevant subject with First Class/ division or a minimum 60% marks or a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale. OR
  • An applicant must have a Master’s Degree (M.Sc/ M.Tech/ MS/M. Sc. Tech/ME) in Chemistry/ Physics/ Environmental Science, an allied area, or a degree equivalent to any of the above in a relevant subject with First Class/ division or a minimum 60% marks or a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.

Desirable Qualification(s)

  • Experience in polymer synthesis or nanomaterial integration.
  • Exposure to electrochemical techniques.

Application Process

Shortlisted Candidates will be informed regarding the date and time of the interview by the PI/CI. Mere possession of the essential qualification doesn’t guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirements of the project. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Visakhapatnam, if required. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. If felt, the interview may be conducted in Online mode.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Scrutiny/Selection committee of IPIE Visakhapatnam reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates.
  2. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit and experience of the available candidates. Short-listed candidates will be notified for an interview, and the decision of the selection committee will be final.
  3. The date and time of the interview will be informed by email to candidates, and hence a valid email ID should be provided by the candidate in the application.
  4. Qualifications should be from a recognized university. Mere fulfillment of the essential qualification does not guarantee an interview call or selection.
  5. Eligibility and age will be considered as of the last date of application.
  6. Candidates should furnish original certificates at the time of the interview & joining.
  7. The post is to be filled only on a purely temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project.
  8. The engagement can be terminated at any time by giving one month’s notice on either side.
  9. The recruited staff’s engagement can be terminated forthwith or before expiry of the notice period by making payment of a sum equivalent to one month’s amount. However, recruited staff will not be permitted to surrender one month’s amount in lieu of the period of notice of the unexpired portion thereof, and you will be required to serve the full period of notice.
  10. The appointment against this post is temporary, and the incumbent selected shall have no claim for terminal benefits / regular appointment under the institute or contention of her/his in any other project.
  11. Benefits of provident fund, CCA, TA/DA, Medical benefits, etc., are not applicable.
  12. No TA/DA shall be paid to attend an interview or joining post, and candidates should make her/his own arrangements for stay for the interview/joining.
  13. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification and disciplinary action.
  14. Selected candidates are required to take insurance to cover medical treatment for themselves and accident insurance for themselves. This insurance cover must be maintained by the candidates during the entire period of employment under the project, failing which, the salary will not be released.
