The Junior Research Fellowship recruitment at DRDE, Gwalior, is a walk-in interview-based selection for Chemistry and Biological Science candidates. Selected fellows will engage in advanced research work related to defense applications, chemical sciences, microbiology, toxicology, and molecular biology. This Government Job offers an initial fellowship period of two years, extendable to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) based on performance. Other Details

  • Monthly Stipend: Rs. 37,000/- & other allowances as per DRDO HQ policy.
  • Cut-off Date: Age and Educational qualification will be considered as on the date of the interview. The age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC candidates. For other categories, the age relaxation will be as per the DRDO Policy.
  • Only those candidates who have been awarded a degree/provisional certificate are eligible to apply.
  • The candidate will work initially for the first two years as JRF and will subsequently be upgraded as SRF for the remaining three years, subject to satisfactory performance to be assessed as per DRDO instructions.
  • REPORTING TIME is 09:30 hrs on the date of the interview, at Main Gate Reception, DRDE, Jhansi Road, Gwalior-474 002. Latecomers will not be allowed.
  • In case a large number of candidates appear for the walk-in interview on the prescribed date, the interview may be carried over to the next day. The candidates are therefore requested to plan accordingly.
  • The application form can be downloaded from the DRDO website. A duly filled application form should be forwarded to director.drde@gov.in and admin-drde@gov.in.
  • The application form is required to be submitted in a PDF file as per the given format.
  • While appearing for an interview, candidates must submit a hard copy of the duly filled application form with a recent passport-size photograph affixed on the top right corner of the first page and one set of self-attested copies of all degrees/academic qualification certificates/ mark sheets/ experience certificates/ NET/GATE Valid Score Card, etc.
  • The candidate(s) selected as JRF may be allowed to register for Ph.D. during the tenure of the fellowship.
  • Candidates will be required to produce original certificates/testimonials with regard to. qualifications, experience, age, and caste certificate for verification at the time of the interview.
  • Candidates presently employed in Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies will be required to produce NOC from the employer at the time of interview.
  • How to reach the venue of the interview: DRDE is located on Jhansi Road, Gwalior, at 01KM from Gwalior Railway Station near FCI Godown.
  • Please note that electronic items like smartphones/mobile phones/Pen drives/laptops/CD-ROMs, and any other type of electronic gadgets are not allowed inside DRDE Gwalior Campus.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected during the screening.
  • Antecedents of selected candidates will be verified at the time of joining.
  • An offer of the award of Fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining, if selected.
