Job Details / Overview

The Process Engineer Job at Quest Global Careers in Bengaluru involves working on upstream Exploration and Production (E&P) systems. This chemical engineering job in Bangalore includes process simulation, heat and mass balance calculations, and system-level studies. Candidates will work on process optimization, equipment design validation, safety analysis, and GHG reduction initiatives while supporting global engineering projects in energy and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chemical engineer with experience working for Exploration and Production (E&P) assets. He / She must have worked with the process of UPSTREAM facilities.
  • The expert shall be competent to perform System-level studies, Process Simulations, calculations, and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.
  • Expertise in developing and reviewing process documents like PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, and safe charts.
  • Proven skills in routine process calculations [Blowdown/Depressurization(MDMT) studies, Heat dissipation study, Thermal design of Heat exchanger, Compressor/Pipeline surge analysis, Line & Equipment sizing]
  • As part of revamp studies, to predict the performance of existing equipment expected to operate in different conditions (including risk analysis of vibration)
  • As part of troubleshooting studies, to compare actual performances vs. theoretical ones
  • Endorsement of Equipment Datasheets and Instrument process datasheet for Control valves, Flow elements, and Pressure Safety Valves
  • Validate process design summary and description
  • Working knowledge of PI modules, viz. PI Process book, PI Vision, and PI data extraction are preferred.
  • The expert shall be competent to provide recommendations on GHG reduction. The individuals shall operate with minimal supervision and will be an extension of the Customer CFR program.
  • Experience in HAZOP & HAZID studies

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (mandatory)
  • Strong academic background in process engineering
  • Relevant experience in Energy or chemical engineering jobs in Bangalore is preferred
  • Knowledge of upstream oil & gas systems is an advantage

Skills Required

  • Strong process engineering and simulation skills
  • Knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID, and safety systems
  • Expertise in PFD, P&ID, and process documentation
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with PI tools (Process Book, Vision)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently in engineering projects
