- Feasibility studies, process optimisation, and laboratory scale-up including cost reduction
- Preparation, isolation, and purification of impurities using recrystallisation, distillation, and chromatography techniques
- Technology transfer from lab scale to plant production
- Analytical interpretation using GC, HPLC, NMR, IR and other routine techniques
- Handling of name reactions including coupling, Witting, bromination, chlorination, oxidation, nitration, and related reactions
- Knowledge of chemicals, solvents, instruments, and laboratory glassware usage
- Understanding of reaction mechanisms, catalytic hydrogenation, protection/deprotection, and condensation reactions
- Safe handling of hazardous chemicals, risk assessment, and decomposition precautions
- Execution of micro-scale and large-scale experimental projects
- Management and coordination of R&D activities with proper documentation and records
- Conducting experiments with accurate data collection for synthesis, analytical development, and impurity profiling
- Literature review, report preparation, and support in research documentation and patent-related inputs
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, GMP, CGMP, GLP, USFDA, ISO 14001, and OHSAS standards
- Supporting process development, optimization, yield improvement, cost reduction, vendor evaluation, and procurement efficiency
- Setting up R&D equipment and maintaining daily technical reports and operational records
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field
