Job Overview:
This Production Engineer job at Pon Pure Chemicals is a Chemical Engineering Jobs opportunity based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The role involves managing daily chemical plant operations, monitoring batch processes, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing production efficiency. It is
a hands-on industrial position requiring coordination with multiple departments such as QA, maintenance, and R&D to ensure smooth and efficient plant performance.Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and monitor daily production activities across plant operations
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Handle batch processes, chemical reactions, and process parameters control
- Maintain accurate production logs, reports, and shift records
- Optimize yield, cycle time, and process efficiency
- Coordinate with Maintenance, QA/QC, EHS, and R&D teams
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with statutory, TNPCB, and environmental regulations
- Support internal/external audits and inspections
Educational Requirements:
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
- Experience: 1–5 Years
- Salary: ₹2.5–5 LPA
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of chemical plant operations and batch processing
- Basic understanding of PFD, P&ID, mass & heat balance
- Familiarity with equipment like Reactors, ANF, Centrifuge, Dryers, Pumps
- Awareness of Process Safety Management (PSM) practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in shift operations
Preferred:
- Experience in Specialty Chemicals / Fine Chemicals manufacturing
