- Essential Qualification: M. Sc. in Chemistry / Chemical Sciences from a recognized university
- Desirable: Candidates having research experience in the area of biomass conversion/processing/catalysis/inorganic/organic synthesis.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA for M. Sc scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
(b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
Job Description: Fractionation, characterization, and valorization (including catalytic conversion) of seaweed fractions into potassic chemicals, nutraceuticals
Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate to claim absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI. The engagement of a project staff in different projects, either in the CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar, or different Laboratories/Institutes of CSIR, taken together, shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate to claim extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar. Those who are currently working as Project Assistant/Field Assistant/Research Scholar or any other mode in CSIR Institutions / Universities / any other government organizations need to submit a No Objection Certificate from the Project Leader or Competent authority on the letterhead with a seal.
Interview Mode: The interview will be conducted in hybrid mode (post code 1: online and for post code 2: in-person), and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
