About the Role:
BioVaram is seeking a highly motivated Scientist – Peptide Chemistry to join our advanced therapeutics research
team. This role focuses on the design, synthesis, optimization, and scale-up of therapeutic peptides for next-generation biomedical applications. We are looking for candidates with specialized expertise in peptide synthesis and characterization, along with a strong innovation mindset to support cutting-edge therapeutic development programs.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and synthesize peptides using Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) techniques.
- Perform peptide purification and analytical characterization using HPLC, LC-MS, MALDI-TOF, and related analytical methods.
- Develop and optimize conjugation chemistries for peptides linked to biomolecules, nanoparticles, or delivery systems.
- Work on process development and scale-up strategies for peptide manufacturing.
- Ensure development activities align with GLP/GMP standards.
- Troubleshoot synthetic challenges and improve yield, purity, and process robustness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in biology, formulation, and translational research.
- Maintain detailed experimental records and prepare technical reports.
- Contribute innovative ideas for new peptide therapeutic platforms and process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Peptide Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines.
- 0–3 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- SPPS
- Peptide purification techniques
- Analytical characterization methods
- Conjugation strategies
- Knowledge of GLP/GMP workflows and scale-up development.
- Excellent problem-solving and scientific documentation skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
