About the Project:
Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Project Assistant under the project funded by DST, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science
and Technology, Mohali.- Title of the Research Project: “Phosphoric acid-catalyzed enantioselective C-C bond formation: a straightforward conversion from feedstock to pharmacophores.”
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Neha Taneja, DST-INSPIRE Faculty
- Position Details:
- Name of the position available: Project Assistant
- Number of positions available: 1
- Age limit: Must not be over 50 years old as of 13.04.2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.
- Fellowship: Rs. 27,000 + HRA as applicable.
- Duration: Initially one year, and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and the availability of funds.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Graduation in Basic Science
- Preferable: Postgraduate Degree in Chemistry.
- Desirable Experience: Good experimental skills in synthetic organic chemistry and organocatalysis.

General Terms and Conditions
- The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of the funds till the completion of the project/fellowship. The position is co-terminus with the project.
