Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) 

  • No. of Vacancies: 01 Position (UR)
  • Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology / Psychology / Cognitive & Neuroscience/Clinical Pharmacy/ Public Health / Psychiatric Social Work / Social Work / Sociology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Chemistry with 3 years post-qualification experience. or Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology / Psychology / Cognitive &Neuroscience/Clinical Pharmacy/ Public Health / Psychiatric Social Work / Social Work / Sociology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Chemistry with a PhD.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Public Health / Implementation Research with Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals.
  • Age: Not exceeding 40 years on the date of the walk-in interview.
  • Remuneration: Rs. 67,000/- + HRA per month fixed without any other allowances.
  • Tenure: Initially for up to one year (extendable). However, the position is terminus at any point in time.

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

  • Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Public Health / Implementation Research with Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals.
  • Age: Not exceeding 35 years on the date of the walk-in interview.
  • Remuneration: Rs. 56,000/- + HRA per month fixed without any other allowances.
  • Tenure: Initially for up to one year (extendable). However, the position is terminus at any point in time.
  • Place of Work: ICMR-NIIRNCD, Jodhpur, or anywhere in India, as per the project requirements.

General Terms 

  • The above project positions are purely on a temporary basis only.
  • Candidates, those who have rendered service in ICMR Projects / ICMR Institutes for more than three years, are not eligible for this Walk-in.
  • The advertised positions are tentative without commitment to their filling. Recruitment will depend upon the requirements of the project and approval of the competent authority.
  • The emoluments will be project-specific and may vary according to the funding agency’s sanction.
  • Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reasons.
  • Selected candidates must work for at least one month; failing which, the emoluments must be forfeited.
  • Engagement can be terminated with one month’s notice from either side without assigning any reason.
  • Candidates who are already employed should submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their present Employer/PI.
  • Since the project position(s) are temporary, the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointment at ICMR-NIIRNCD.
  • The results of the final selection will be placed on the ICMR-NIIRNCD and ICMR websites.
  • Recruited project persons are governed as per the ICMR project staff recruitment guidelines.
  • Age relaxation will be admissible as per Central Government instructions and guidelines.
  • No TA / DA will be given for attending the walk-in interview / written test.
  • Laptop/Tablet, logarithm table, digital diary, mobile phone, smart watch, Bluetooth Devices / earphones / earbuds, and other electronic gadgets will not be allowed inside the Examination Hall / Interview.

Selection Procedure:

  • Only eligible candidates will appear for the walk-in interview / written test. A written test may be taken if the number of candidates exceeds 30.
  • Qualifying marks for the written test: SC / ST: 35%, UR / OBC / EWS: 40%.
  • Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written test/interview.
