Job Overview:

ADAMA is hiring a Trainee Chemist

for its Synthetic Organic Chemistry Lab in Hyderabad. This role involves active participation in R&D projects focused on organic synthesis and experimental chemistry. Candidates will work on reaction execution, purification processes, and analytical interpretation. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate sound theoretical knowledge of Organic chemistry.
  • Execute assigned experiments independently.
  • Knowledge of Purification + Hands on experience would be an added advantage.
  • Monitoring the progress of the reaction using chromatographic techniques (Checking TLC – Rf).
  • Interpretation of analytical data (NMR, Mass, IR, trend analysis of HPLC, GC data etc.).
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Chemical structure drawing software is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification:

  • M.Sc. (Organic chemistry or General chemistry)

Desired Experience:

  • 0-2 years
  • Knowledge or initial experience in Process Development would be an added advantage (Active agrochemical ingredients/ Active pharma ingredients/ Fine chemicals/ CRO industry).

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of organic reaction mechanisms
  • Experience or exposure to chromatographic techniques (TLC, HPLC, GC)
  • Ability to interpret spectroscopic data (NMR, IR, Mass)
  • Basic understanding of purification methods
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • MS Word, Excel, and chemical drawing software knowledge (preferred)
