Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytical Chemist to join our R&D team focused on the development of advanced Chemical Warfare Agent (CWA) detection systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, testing, and qualifying chemical sensors and detection technologies for military and homeland security applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Development:

  • Develop and optimize chemical detection methods for CWAs using techniques such as IMS, GC-MS, FTIR, Raman, and colorimetric analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design sensor systems and integrate chemical detection technologies into field-deployable devices.

Design & Prototyping:

  • Contribute to the conceptualization and design of chemical sensor components.
  • Select and evaluate materials for sensor interfaces and chemical reactivity.

Testing & Validation:

  • Conduct laboratory and field testing of prototypes under simulated and real-world conditions.
  • Analyze performance data and refine detection algorithms and calibration protocols.

Qualification & Compliance:

  • Ensure systems meet military and international standards for CWA detection.
  • Prepare technical documentation, validation reports, and support regulatory submissions.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with engineers, toxicologists, and defense specialists.
  • Present findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in chemical sensor development or CBRN-related technologies.
  • Proficiency in analytical instrumentation and data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with chemical warfare agents and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.
