Application Scientist – Biofuels
Welcome to our MEIA Technical Services and Innovation team for Bioenergy and Distilling.
You will become part of our Bioenergy Innovation team, collaborating closely with our colleagues in Sales & Marketing to provide world-class scientific and technical support to deploy innovative solutions to our customers in the Bioenergy and Distilling space.
We are looking for a highly motivated Application Scientist to be a key part of the Biofuels Innovation team. In this Scientist Job, you will help grow our MEIA Bioenergy business by supporting global and regional launches of new innovative yeast and enzyme solutions, end-to-end from lab-scale proof of Concept to plant-scale proof of Application.

This Application Scientist Job allows professionals from MSc Chemistry Jobs and PhD Chemistry Jobs backgrounds to directly contribute to large-scale bioenergy innovation.
To Succeed You Must Hold
- Strong scientific skills based on a university degree in Chemistry, Chemical / Industrial / Biotech / Bioprocess Engineering, or related
- MSc. or Ph.D degree is a clear asset, but not essential
- Relevant experience in Bioenergy, corn-ethanol, or cellulosic ethanol (E2G) industry
- Experience within enzyme and yeast applications in Bioenergy
- Knowledge of lab-scale fermentation protocols
- Experience in plant-scale fermentation
- Experience with the design of experiments (DOE), analyzing data
- Basic understanding of programming to develop Proof of Concepts
- Ability to translate technical insights into customer-relatable values
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work in industrial scale environment
- Technical training capability
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi
- Ability to travel extensively within the MEIA region
