Vacancy Details – Apprentice Posts (Only Code 101 & 104)

Code 101 – Trade Apprentice (Attendant Operator – Chemical Plant)

• Qualification: 3 years B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry)
• Period of Training: 12 months
• Total Seats: 114

Code 104 Technician Apprentice (Chemical Discipline)

• Qualification: 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering
• Period of Training: 12 months
• Total Seats: 53

These Indian Oil Apprentice positions provide hands-on refinery training under the Government Jobs framework at Paradip Refinery.

Note:

1. The number of seats indicated above is tentative and may increase or decrease at the discretion of the management and in compliance with the Presidential Directives on reservation.
2. Other relevant criteria apply as detailed further in the application.

Important Notes

Qualification Criteria

• The candidate should have already passed the prescribed qualification as on the date of reckoning for the eligibility criteria.
• Qualifications must be from a recognized Board/University/Institute as a regular full-time course with minimum percentage criteria as specified.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum age shall be 24 years as on 31-01-2026 for General/EWS candidates. Relaxation of the upper age limit to other categories as per the Government guidelines.

Reservation and Relaxation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD categories as indicated. Specific relaxations in eligibility as per norms.

Selection Methodology: Selection shall be on the basis of the percentage of marks in descending order obtained in the prescribed qualification.

Offer of Engagement: Finally, shortlisted candidates whose documents, including a pre-engagement medical fitness certificate, are found in order shall be issued an offer of engagement.

General Instructions

• Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of educational qualification and other
  eligibility criteria before applying for an opportunity in NATS/NAPS portal. They must also ensure that their profile
  registered on NATS/NAPS portal is 100% correctly updated.
• The apprenticeship agreement shall be registered on-line with respective authorities.

• At any stage of the selection process, if it is found that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information,
  the candidate’s candidature of the candidate will be cancelled. Candidate shall also render himself/herself liable for criminal prosecution.
• The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials etc. In case it is detected at any stage of engagement or thereafter that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/doctored/false information/ certificate/ documents, or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after engagement, his/her engagement is liable to be terminated.
• Candidates are required to bring one Photo ID proof in ORIGINAL – anyone from among: Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Voter ID Card/Driving License/Passport at the time of document verification.
• Any corrigendum/addendum or Notice with regard to this advertisement shall be made available on our website www.iocl.com ONLY.
• Disputes, if any, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the local Court near Paradip Refinery.

How to apply:

• Candidates meeting the above prescribed eligibility criteria should visit our IOCL website www.iocl.com / from 12-02-2026 till 25-02-2026.
• Candidates willing to apply must have a valid and active Apprentice Registration /Enrolment Number registered on the NAPS/NATS portal. They must ensure that their profile is 100% correctly updated.
• A candidate can apply for an apprenticeship in any one of the trade/discipline of his/her choice.
• Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria for a trade/discipline may visit the website www.iocl.com, go to ‘What’s New’ > go to Engagement of Apprentices at Paradip Refinery – 2025 (III) > Click on “Detailed Advertisement” (to refer to the Advertisement) > Click on “Click here to Register/Apply on NAPS/NATS” (to
  register/ apply against opportunities) > Click on “Click here to submit additional information on MS forms ”(to fill the form). The candidate must have an active email ID and mobile phone number, which must remain valid for at least the next one year. All future communication with the candidate will take place only through the website/email/SMS alerts. Applications submitted through online mode will only be accepted.
• FOLLOWING STEPS (BOTH STEP I & STEP II) ARE TO BE COMPLETED FOR SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING THE ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS:
  STEP I: Registration on the NAPS/NATS portal and Application to Opportunities notified on the NAPS/NATS portal
  I) Post Codes: 101, 102, 110 & 111 :
  a) For disciplines mentioned at Codes 101, 102, 110 & 111, candidates have to register on Nthe APS portal
  https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ .
  b) Candidates have to select the Apprenticeship Opportunities in the top menu. Then select in the search
  column the location as per the IOCL Refinery Unit and select the respective trade. This will prompt you to log in to the
  site with the basic details. Follow the steps given by the portal and complete the registration.
  c) Candidates are therefore advised to furnish the details in the portal carefully and check the same before
  final submission.
  II) Post Codes: 104, 105, 106 & 107 :
  a) For trades mentioned at Codes 104, 105, 106 & 107, candidates have to register on Nthe ATS portal / Board
  of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), i.e., https://nats.education.gov.in.
  b) After successful registration, candidates have to apply to the advertisement notified by IOCL Paradip
  Refinery on their dashboard.
  c) Candidates are therefore advised to furnish the details in the portal carefully and check the same before final submission.
• Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria may LOGIN to the respective NATS/NAPS Portal, as given above, using their User ID/Email ID and applying for the apprenticeship Openings/Opportunities with the Establishment ID of Paradip Refinery which is mentioned below : Unit Establishment ID for NATS Establishment ID for NAPS

  Before applying against an opportunity, the candidate MUST ensure that their profile (Personal details,

  STEP II: Filling in additional details on Microsoft Forms After applying against an opportunity in the respective NAPS/NATS Portal, the candidate MUST also submit their

• Candidates are advised to submit only one response in Microsoft Form.
• Completion of both Step I and Step II is compulsory for completion of the application process and consideration of the candidature of any applicant.
• It is solely the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that the details furnished in the MS forms, including Enrollment no. /Student id/Registration no, etc., as applicable, at both Step I and Step II are factually correct and match in both steps.

• The candidate must ascertain the correctness of all information before filling in the MS forms and their final submission.

• Incomplete applications, applications not fulfilling the eligibility criteria/parameters, and applications received in Mode/form other than online mode shall be treated as “Rejected”.
