Contractual Recruitment of Project Associate-I in the NMPB, Ministry of AYUSH-funded Project:
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the post of Project Associate-I to work on the research project entitled “Pharmacological Investigation of Piliostigma foveolatum (Dalzell) Thoth: Exploring Antimalarial and Antituberculosis Potential” funded by the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, for a total period of 3 years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Details of the Position
- Name of the Position: Project Associate
- Number of Positions: One (01) (Purely Contractual)
- Duration of the Position: Initially for one (01) year, but extendable up to 2 more years or the duration of the project, whichever is earlier
- Emoluments: Monthly Salary: ₹33,000/- (consolidated)
Educational Qualification
- Minimum qualifications: Postgraduate (M.Sc. Chemistry/M.Sc Pharmaceutical Chemistry). Minimum 60% or equivalent CGPA in the preceding degrees.
- Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in natural products research, bioassays, phytochemical analysis, extraction, isolation, and characterization techniques, such as NMR, MS, HPLC, FTIR, and UV-Vis, will be given preference. Additionally, candidates with experience in project handling and biological screening will be at an added advantage.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable in accordance with the GOI rules.

General Terms and Conditions:
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and no further communication in this regard will be entertained.
- The date of the interview will be communicated via email to the shortlisted candidates.
- No TA/DA will be paid if called for an interview.
- The prescribed qualifications and/or experience shall be the minimum, and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same shall not entitle him/her to an interview. National Forensic Sciences University shall have the right to restrict the number of candidates to be interviewed to a reasonable level based on better or higher qualifications and experience than the minimum prescribed.
- The contractual appointment shall end on the contract’s stipulated expiry date in the appointment letter. Selected candidates shall have no right to renewal or extension of conversion into permanent employment.
- Canvassing or influencing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such candidate. National Forensic Sciences University reserves the right to take appropriate action against such a candidate.
