Applications are invited for the posts of Senior Consultant, Junior Consultant, Research Associate (RA), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Young Professional II, and Young Professional I in the National Soil Mapping Programme research project. This project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, with the Soil and Land Use Survey
of India as the Nodal Agency. The positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project’s duration of two years.Positions and Qualifications

(Ag.) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry / Soil Science / Soil Science-Soil and Water conservation / M.A. in Geography (with specialization in cartography and remote sensing) with at least 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average. Age limit: Upper age limit 32 years (5 years’ relaxation for Female/ SC/ ST/ Physically handicapped candidates and 3 years for OBC). Desirable: Working knowledge of remote sensing data and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, QGIS, ENVI). Experience in handling extensive remote sensing data. Expertise in intensive fieldwork. Knowledge of Pedology/ Soil Science. |
