Walk-in Interview for Research Associates (RA) and Junior Research Fellowships (JRF)
Indian Nationals are invited to a walk-in interview for the award of Research Associates (RA) and Junior Research Fellows (JRF) to work at the Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur (Rajasthan), a material cluster laboratory of DRDO.
Fellowship Emoluments and Duration
- Research Associate (RA): Rs. 67,000/- p.m. with HRA and medical facilities as per rules; Duration: 02 Years (may be extended further and upgraded to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) as per rules).
- Junior Research Fellows (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- p.m.; Duration: 02 Years (may be extended further and upgraded to SRF as per rules).

Available Positions and Qualifications
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) – Chemistry: Three (03)
Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Chemistry with first division and National Eligibility Test (NET) qualification conducted by CSIR-UGC (NET), MHRD (GATE), or JEST.
Date of Interview: 25-Feb-2026
General Conditions
- Selection is via a walk-in interview.
- Age not exceeding 35 years for RA & 28 years for JRF as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category must produce the original caste certificate. Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates should produce a medical certificate issued by the Government Hospital/Medical Board.
- Original certificates/testimonials related to age, educational qualification, and experience must be produced at the time of the interview along with a set of photocopies.
- Offer of fellowship does not confer any rights for absorption in DRDO.
- The fellowship may be terminated with one month’s prior notice from either side.
- Candidates working in the Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies need to produce an NOC issued by the present employer.
