Post-Doctoral Fellowship at IIT Gandhinagar
The Main Group Organometallic Chemistry Lab at IIT Gandhinagar, led by Prof. Priyabrata Ghana, has an immediate opening for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship. The appointment is for 6 months.
Job Description
The candidate will work on the design and synthesis of low-valent main group and transition metal compounds for the activation of small molecules (e.g., N₂, H₂, CO, CO₂, ethylene, etc.).
The candidate is also expected to be involved in training new M.Sc. and Ph.D. students and writing manuscripts for publications.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. (thesis submitted/degree awarded) in chemistry from a reputed institute in India, and a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onward, and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in Schlenk techniques is highly preferred.
- Experience in the synthesis of main group or organometallic compounds and their analysis with state-of-the-art analytical techniques.
- Good project management and communication skills.
Remuneration
Rs. 72,000/- to 84,000/- per month (Consolidated).
