Senior Technical Specialist – Food and Environmental
We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Specialist – Food and Environmental, responsible for supporting customers with their chromatography challenges, particularly in the Food and Environmental industry, both on and off-site. As a member of a global Technical Support Team, Phenomenex Technical Support Specialists will provide problem-solving, troubleshooting, and applications assistance for customers worldwide in the fields of chromatography (HPLC, LC_MS/MS, GC, GC-MS) and sample preparation (SPE).
Problem resolution will be driven by diagnosing product-related issues and technical inquiries, while guiding users through step-by-step solutions to their separation challenges. Apart from the main industries mentioned earlier, additional support may be required for the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical industries as well.
This is an on-site role. This role involves working closely with the Applications team located in Bengaluru. This Job requires the associate to be in Bengaluru. The candidate should be flexible in shift schedule.
What We’ll Get You Doing:
- Provide problem-solving and troubleshooting assistance to the Phenomenex Sales Team and customers worldwide via Live Chat, Internal Ticketing Systems, and other channels (written and oral).
- Work cross-functionally with the Applications, Product management, and R&D teams to diagnose, communicate, and troubleshoot product-related issues.
- Create customer-facing collateral to industry related marketing and customer training efforts.
- Create and present customer-facing webinars and seminars with an emphasis on the Food and Environmental industry.
- Provide internal product training for the Phenomenex Sales Team and Chanel partners globally.
- Participate in industry-focused internal/external meetings, events, and troubleshooting sessions.
- Provide method development support to customers through online consultancy.
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary in support of our products and services.
The Essential Requirements Of The Role Include:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry, or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Ph.D. with 3 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment working with HPLC, SPE, and LC-MS/MS/HRMS, developing methods for Food and Environmental applications.
- Proficient in theoretical and practical chromatographic techniques relating to Food and Environmental applications.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to present their ideas and solutions in a clear and effective manner.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ease with public speaking, along with interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A strong desire to cooperate in a teamwork environment.
- Willing to relocate and travel up to 30% domestically.
