About the Job
We are currently looking for an ‘Organic Chemist’ in Research & Development who will be primarily responsible for the synthesis, purification, and characterization of Organic compounds/dyes and intermediates. This position reports to the Senior Scientist/Staff Scientist/Manager, Development Science, and is
part of the R&D team located in our Bangalore North facility. This is a fully on-site role.Key Responsibilities
- Perform multi-step Organic Synthesis and Characterization.
- Purify various organic compounds using chromatography/other separation techniques, such as column/flash/HPLC and TFF, etc.
- Work on various analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GPC, UV-Vis, and Fluorescence.
The Essential Requirements of the Job Include:
- Ph.D. with a minimum of 3+ years of experience or M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry with a minimum of 5+ years of work experience, preferably in Organic synthesis and analytical method development/AR&D lab, either in Chemical Industries/CROs/APIs or in academic research institutions.
- Experience in characterization of Organic compounds by NMR, LC-MS, UPLC, HPLC, UV-Vis/Spectrofluorometer, etc.
- Good hands-on experience in multi-step Organic Synthesis, especially in handling and optimization of metal-catalyzed C-C, C-N coupling reactions and acid-amine coupling reactions.
- Good laboratory practices- record notebook maintenance.
Additional Requirements:
- No travel is expected for this role.
- Ability to lift/move or carry equipment like centrifuge rotors/solvents/buffers of 10-15 liters/10-15 Kg capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Polymer synthesis and characterization.
- Knowledge and experience in synthesis, characterization of Organic dyes, and Photochemistry of Dyes.
