Educational and Other Qualifications Required
Essential (Chemistry):
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects or papers during all three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.
Mode of Recruitment: Through Interview
Duties to be Performed by Junior Scientific Assistant (JSA)
Assisting senior officers in examining forensic cases, helping in preparing reports, visiting/attending crime scenes, photography and videography of the scene of crime, identification, collection, and preservation of scientific evidence available at the crime scene (24×7 shift manner), and any other work given by superiors.
Terms and Conditions of Recruitment:
Application Submission: All the aspirants are requested to submit the application forms along with the requisite documents to the Head of the Office Forensic Science Laboratory, Rohini Sec-14, New Delhi-110085 either physically or by registered/speed post on or before 15.01.2026 up to 05:00 PM for prior scrutiny.
Remuneration: Junior Scientific Assistant – Rs. 42,632/- per month consolidated.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 27 years as on 15.01.2026 (Age relaxation as per govt. rules, i.e., OBC-03 years, SC-05 years, ST-05 years).
The appointment shall be on a contract basis for a period of one year or till regular recruitment, whichever is earlier. Vacancies are subject to change, and the FSL reserves the right to decide whether or not to fill any post.
Candidates must bring original documents with self-attested photocopies and valid identity proof on the day of the interview.
