University of Hyderabad Recruitment | The University of Hyderabad has announced recruitment for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I positions under a DST-SERB-funded research project at the School of Chemistry. Nestled in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, the School of Chemistry invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I for a research project funded by DST (SERB).
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for one post of Project Associate-I or Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the SERB Research Grant. The details of the project and the post for recruitment are given below:
Project Title: Biological potential of new rhenium(I) tricarbonyl-/rhenium(I) dicarbonyl-azolate motif-based acyclic and metallosupramolecules: Synthesis, structural characterization, solution studies, and biologically active studies.
Project Duration: Fourteen months
Monthly Emolument
a) Junior Research Fellow (JRF
): Rs. 31,000 (Consolidated + 24% HRA) for those who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship or GATE, or qualified through National Examination of Government Departments and Agencies, including IITs, IISERs, and IISc.b) Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000 (Consolidated + 24% HRA) for others who do not fall under the above category.
Essential Qualification:
- B.Sc (Chemistry) and M.Sc (Chemistry) from a recognized Institute/University with at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA.
- Preference will be given to candidates with research experience and to candidates who have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC NET (LS), or any other national examinations conducted by Government Departments/Institutes.
Age Limit: 28 years
Job Description: The candidate is required to assist in carrying out various activities under the project to complete the objectives and deliverables in time as per the schedule. However, the candidate will be allowed to register for his/her Ph.D. degree in the school if qualified.

Terms and Conditions
- The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the administrative rules and guidelines of the University of Hyderabad.
- The offer is for one year and extendable for another year, i.e., the duration of the project and the position is co-terminus with the project.
- No TA/DA is permissible for appearing in the interview and joining in case of selection.
- The interview will be notified only by email to the shortlisted candidates after the application deadline.
- Candidates shall bring original certificates for verification at the time of the interview.
- The selected candidate will have the option to register for the PhD programme at the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria.
