Project Details
- Project Title: “Development of fluorimetric sensing kits using supramolecular interactions for the detection of selected Antibiotics and Biogenic polyamines” [Duration: 3 years]
- Principal Investigator: Prof. Mainak Banerjee (Dept of Chemistry)
- Co-Principal Investigators: Prof. Arnab Paul (Dept of CSIS)
- Stakeholder DRDO Lab: DIBT, Mysore
- Research Areas: Chemical Synthesis, Supramolecular Chemistry, Chemosensing, Diagnostic Devices
Scope of Work:
- Primary role: Synthesis of chemical probes, supramolecular cavitands, and fluorimetry.
- Other roles: Sensing kits and diagnostic device development.
Essential Qualification: M. Sc./ M.S. (or equivalent degree) with 60% aggregate (equivalent CGPA) in Organic Chemistry/General Chemistry/Materials Science/etc.
Desirable Qualification: NET/GATE/GPAT (hands-on experience in chemical synthesis)
Note: The JRF will be encouraged to apply for the BITS Pilani PhD program through a separate application process.
Fellowship: ₹37,000 for JRF (with NET/GATE/equivalent qualification) or ₹30,000 for Project Associate-1 (w/o NET/GATE) with HRA (as applicable)
