1. Job Summary
The Solvent Recovery Executive / Officer will handle solvent distillation and recovery operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant recovery of solvents used in API manufacturing. Responsibilities include equipment operation, monitoring process parameters, documentation, and safety compliance.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Solvent Recovery Operations
• Perform distillation, purification, drying, and recycling of solvents.
• Operate SRP equipment like distillation columns, condensers, pumps, and storage tanks.
• Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, vacuum, reflux ratio).
• Achieve targeted recovery yield and purity levels.
B. Equipment Handling & Monitoring
• Conduct equipment cleaning, changeovers, and startup/shutdown activities.
• Report abnormalities and coordinate maintenance activities.
C. Safety & Compliance
• Handle hazardous solvents safely using PPE.
• Follow GMP, GDP, EHS, and regulatory norms.
• Ensure safe waste disposal and leak prevention.
D. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain solvent recovery logs, batch records, and yield reports.
• Document material usage, receipts, and storage movements.
E. Coordination
• Work closely with Production, QA, QC, Warehouse, and EHS departments.
F. Continuous Improvement
• Support process optimization and solvent recovery efficiency improvements.
3. Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of solvent properties and distillation techniques.
• Understanding of API production processes.
• Strong safety orientation.
• Documentation accuracy and team coordination.
4. Qualifications
• B.Sc Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Organic Chemistry
• M.Sc Chemistry / Organic / Analytical / Industrial Chemistry
