Applications are invited for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) sanctioned in the DoP-sponsored project titled “Centre for Marine Therapeutics” at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru.
This JRF Job is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong background in Organic Chemistry, offering the chance to contribute to innovative research in molecular biology, drug discovery, and natural product synthesis. The project will be conducted under the supervision of Prof. Tapas K. Kundu (Principal Investigator) and co-investigators Prof. Udaykumar Ranga, Prof. Ravi Manjithaya, and Dr. Kushagra Bansal, Molecular Biology and Genetics Unit (MBGU), JNCASR.
Position and Eligibility:
- Position: Junior Research Fellow
- Remuneration: Rs. 31,000 plus 27% HRA
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with a valid GATE/NET score
- Desirable Qualification: Research experience in synthesizing novel molecules, isolation and derivatization of small molecule compounds from natural sources, and nanomaterial synthesis. Sound knowledge in NMR and Mass spectroscopy of small molecule compounds would be desirable.
- Place of work: Transcription and Disease Laboratory, MBGU, JNCASR (Under Prof. Tapas K Kundu)
