- Job Post: Lab Assistant
- Age Limit: Not more than 30 years as of the last date of application.
- Duration: Initially 6 months, extendable up to the end of the project
- Salary: Rs. 20,000 per month + 20% HRA
Eligibility & Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Chemistry with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Preference for candidates with experience in PM filter weighing, IC, OCEC analyzer, ICP-OES, or GC-MS.
- Data analysis of aerosol measurements is an added advantage.
About the Project
The project focuses on the chemical characterization of road dust aerosols and involves PM filter weighing, IC (Ion Chromatography), OCEC analyzer, ICP-OES, and GC-MS based aerosol laboratory chemical analysis. The Lab Assistant will also contribute to data QA/QC, data consolidation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments, supporting high-quality research outcomes.
Lab Assistant Job Responsibilities Includes:
- Preparing filters and sampling aerosols
- Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments
- Performing chemical analysis and aerosol measurement
- Data entry, file preparation, and consolidation using MS Office
- Conducting Data Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) exercises
- Maintaining accurate lab logs and records
