Chemistry PhD Program at IISER Thiruvananthapuram | PhD Admissions 2026
PhD Admissions open at The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM), starting January 2026 (Vasanth 2026). Open to highly motivated candidates in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Data Sciences, Earth, Environmental & Sustainability Sciences, and High-Performance Computing, the program offers world-class research opportunities under expert faculty. Applications are accepted online only through the official portal.

Eligibility:
- Master’s (M.Sc/M.Tech) in relevant disciplines with 6.5 CGPA (General/OBC-NCL) or 50% marks (SC/ST/PwD).
- National-level exam qualification (CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, GATE, JEST, DBT-JRF, ICAR-JRF, or equivalent).
- Exemptions: BS-MS/Integrated MSc students from IISERs/IITs/IISc with CGPA ≥8.

- Only applications complete in all respects would be considered. Do not forget to click the “Submit” button after completing your application.
- Applicants will also be prompted to upload all the supporting documents online.
- Applicants should provide their Name/Affiliation/Contact number and Email addresses of two referees in the application form.
- Applicants belonging to GEN/OBC and SC/ST/PH categories are required to make a payment of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 250/-, respectively, as a processing fee online through the application portal.
- On submission of the online application form, the applicants will receive an acknowledgement email with a unique application number.
- Applicants are NOT required to post a hard copy of the application to IISER TVM.

- Mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
