Job Description
- Job Post: Process Engineer
- Qualification: BE or ME in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Experience: 3 to 8 years
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Thermal design of boilers/heaters using relevant software
- Sizing of fans, pumps, burners, dampers, ducts, piping, and safety valves
- Preparation of specifications and review of offers for fans, pumps, burners, dampers, and auxiliaries
- Proposal and contract stage: P&ID, PFD, GA, and datasheet preparation
- Read tender specifications and prepare clarifications and deviations
- Budget preparation, including the bill of materials
- Instrumentation data preparation for control valves, pressure, temperature, and flow instruments
- Understanding ERP systems such as BaaN and PLM
- Documentation flow management between departments and the customer interface
Critical Competencies:
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics related to boilers
- Basic knowledge of boiler/heater auxiliaries, construction, operation, erection, and commissioning
- Ability to analyze site data and prepare PG test report calculations
