Research Associate Job at Syngene- Role Overview
The Research Associate / Senior Research Associate will perform synthetic chemistry reactions, purification, analytical interpretation, and ensure proper documentation of experimental data. The role requires strict adherence to EHSS (Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability) protocols, Syngene’s quality systems, and organizational values of Excellence, Integrity, and Professionalism. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for designing and executing experiments, troubleshooting synthetic routes, maintaining laboratory equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results within project timelines. The position also involves continuous learning, contributing to process optimization, supporting innovation initiatives, and participating in technical discussions and knowledge sharing to drive collective success.
Research Associate Job at Syngene- Key Responsibilities
- Perform synthetic chemistry reactions, work-ups, and compound purification using chromatography, crystallization, and TLC.
- Record experimental observations and results in laboratory notebooks or e-systems.
- Ensure timely analysis of samples, proper shipment packing, and communication of results to supervisors.
- Follow safety guidelines, MSDS protocols, and waste segregation as per EHSS norms.
- Report instrument or equipment breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
- Attend mandatory safety, data integrity, and technical trainings.
Senior Research Associate- Qualifications & Skills
- Education: M.Sc in General or Organic Chemistry.
- Experience: 0–6 years in synthetic organic chemistry.
- Strong knowledge of organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, and purification techniques.
- Skilled in analytical interpretation and familiar with laboratory apparatus and instruments.
- Ability to work independently on solving synthetic problems.
