About the Programme:
BRIC-National Institute of Immunology (NII) invites applications for its Ph.D. programme for the 2025-26 Winter Session. NII conducts cutting-edge research across broad interdisciplinary areas including Immunology, Infectious and Chronic Disease Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Chemical Biology, Structural Biology, and Computational Biology.
Eligibility:
- This Ph.D. Programme at BRIC-NII requires a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any branch of Science and Technology (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics), or a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree, or an equivalent degree as per Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad norms.
- Minimum 60% aggregate in qualifying examination; 5% relaxation for reserved categories (OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PwD, EWS).
- Valid 5-year doctoral fellowship from UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT, DST-INSPIRE, or other recognized agencies.
- Candidates appearing for this Ph.D. Programme who are qualifying exams in the current year may apply provisionally.

Reservation of seats for this Ph.D. Programme: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC 27%, PwD 5%, EWS 10% as per government norms.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected for this Ph.D. Programme at BRIC-NII through a two-round online interview. The shortlist will be published on the NII website on 14th November 2025. Interviews are scheduled as follows:
- Round 1: 26-28 November 2025
- Round 2: 02-05 December 2025
Selected candidates will be enrolled in the Ph.D. Programme under the affiliation of RCB, Faridabad.
Ph.D. Programme Details:
- Commencement: 29th December 2025
- Laboratory and supervisor allotment by 5th January 2026
- Activation of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) immediately after joining at BRIC-NII
