Chemistry Job at NIIST | MSc/ PhD Graduates Attend the Walk-In Interview for Multiple Positions
The CSIR–National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, has announced walk-in interviews for the recruitment of temporary project staff in Chemistry and related disciplines. Eligible candidates are invited to appear for the Chemistry Job at NIIST interviews scheduled in October 2025, as per the details below.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in manuscript writing, project proposal preparation, and policy drafting.
Monthly Stipend:
₹31,000/- + 18% HRA for candidates with CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET or GATE qualification.
₹25,000/- + 18% HRA for others.
Age Limit: 35 years (as on date of interview).

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification: Laboratory experience in synthetic organic chemistry; knowledge in the design and synthesis of molecular probes for photodynamic therapy and their photophysical characterization.
Monthly Stipend: ₹47,000/- + 16% HRA.
Age Limit: 40 years (as on date of interview).

General Information:
Age relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped and female candidates as per CSIR/GoI rules.
Candidates must report at CSIR–NIIST reception by 09:00 AM on the date of interview. Candidates reporting after 09:30 AM will not be considered.
Only those whose final results are declared as on the date of interview will be eligible.
Waitlisted candidates may be considered for future project vacancies within one year from the date of interview.
How to Apply:
The prescribed application form may be downloaded from the CSIR–NIIST website. Duly filled and signed forms, with affixed recent passport-size photograph, must be submitted at the time of interview. Applicants should also bring self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets (from SSLC onwards) in support of age, qualification, experience, and caste, along with the originals for verification.
Note:
A written test may be conducted if necessary.
Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
