The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Kolkata, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, is conducting a walk-in interview for the post of Senior Research Fellow (Chemistry). This temporary research position offers candidates an opportunity to work on an innovative project focused on analytical discrimination and herboprint development of Berberis species, with exposure to advanced instrumentation and Ayurveda-based scientific research.

Walk-in Interview at Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Kolkata

The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Kolkata, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, invites applications for a temporary Senior Research Fellow (Chemistry).

Project Title: “Multi-component based analytical discrimination and species-specific herboprint development of various therapeutically important Berberis species.”

Project Duration: 02 years

Position Details:

• Post: Senior Research Fellow (Chemistry)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Chemistry from a recognized university/institute with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Desirable Qualification: Hands-on experience in using HPTLC, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, and proven research writing skills with publications in SCI-indexed journals.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.07.2025 (relaxation as per the Govt. of India rules for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

Selection Process: Written test followed by an interview.

Important Instructions:

• Candidates must bring a duly filled application form (downloadable from www.ccras.nic.in) along with self-attested copies of their certificates, two passport-size photographs, and the original documents for verification.
• Candidates must report by 10:00 AM sharp; late arrivals will not be permitted.
• The research position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No claim for permanent appointment will be entertained.
• The initial appointment will be for six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
