Job Description
This role is suitable for candidates seeking Chemistry Jobs or other science graduate positions, supporting lab work, material synthesis, and equipment maintenance. Candidates with experience in Electrospinning, Spray Pyrolysis, Dip Coating, Spin Coating, or other similar techniques will have an added advantage. The role also includes ensuring lab safety compliance, managing inventory, and performing basic instrument maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Laboratory Support:
- Assist in daily lab operations and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Handle materials, chemicals, and samples with precision and care.
- Materials Synthesis & Techniques:
- Perform experiments involving Electrospinning, Spray Pyrolysis, Dip Coating, Spin Coating, and other related techniques.
- Support the synthesis and preparation of nanomaterials or other research samples.
- Equipment Handling & Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain lab instruments and equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and ensure instruments are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain clean and organized workspaces.
- Ensure compliance with institutional guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Inventory & Resource Management:
- Maintain inventory of chemicals, consumables, and lab supplies.
- Coordinate with faculty and researchers for the timely availability of required materials.
- Research Support:
- Assist faculty and research teams in interdisciplinary projects.
- Record experiment data accurately and contribute to documentation and reports.
- Training & Development:
- Participate in lab training sessions and workshops.
- Stay updated on new lab techniques and equipment usage.
Educational Qualification
BSc/MSc Chemistry
Experience and Skills
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and basic instrument maintenance
- Familiarity with materials synthesis techniques (Electrospinning, Spray Pyrolysis, Dip Coating, Spin Coating)
- Strong interest in supporting interdisciplinary research activities
- Knowledge of lab safety and inventory management
