Project Title:

Ion transport through Bovine Serum Albumin-based self-standing bio-membrane

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry with a consistently good academic record

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified for the GATE, CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship), or the ICT Ph.D. entrance exam in Chemistry

Fellowship/Remuneration:

  • JRF: INR 37,000 per month (consolidated)
  • SRF: INR 42,000 per month (for candidates completing two years as JRF)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a synthesis of bio-membrane, sample preparation, characterizations, and spectroscopy measurements
  • Conduct research in line with the project objectives
  • Perform laboratory experiments related to ion transport and biomembrane synthesis
  • Analyze experimental data and maintain detailed records
  • Collaborate with the research team and contribute to project publications
