Job Description
The Senior Executive – Analytical Chemistry will be responsible for method development, method validation, method transfer, and R&D stability studies. The role involves working with laboratory instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV spectrophotometer, polarimeter, potentiometer, and balances while ensuring compliance with GxP, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate Assay & Related Substances methods for drug substances/products.
- Manage stability studies, analyze stability data, and maintain sample storage.
- Operate and maintain HPLC, UPLC (Empower-3), GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, potentiometer, and stability chambers.
- Follow Good Documentation/Laboratory Practices (ALCOA+).
- Calibration and qualification of analytical instruments.
- Prepare and review raw data sheets, instrument operating procedures, and SOPs.
- Handle QMS activities including incidents, OOS, deviations, and change control.
- Procure and maintain inventory of pharmacopeial standards, chemicals, reagents, consumables, and spares.
- Adhere to GxP, safety, and internal SOPs.
- Use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
Qualifications
- Education: M.Pharm / M.Tech / M.Sc / B.Sc in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry
- Experience: 3–6 years in analytical chemistry or QC roles
Skills & Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, UPLC/UHPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, potentiometer, and QC analytical instruments
- Strong theoretical knowledge in chromatography and spectroscopy techniques
- Good documentation and laboratory practices (ALCOA+)
- Ability to follow work instructions under supervision
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
