Job Description
The Associate STEM Content Analyst – Polymer will work with the Polymer team in IP Indexing to extract, analyze, and index polymer-related information from patents. The role involves curating data on polymers, catalysts, additives, chemical processes, and applications while ensuring accuracy and compliance with editorial policies for DWPI™. This position offers valuable experience in intellectual property, patent analysis, and scientific content curation.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and index novel scientific information from Polymer patents.
- Code and curate data related to monomers, catalysts, additives, polymer processes, and applications.
- Apply DWPI™ codes in line with editorial policies for Derwent Innovation products.
- Stay updated on trends and developments in Polymer and Chemistry fields.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality content sets while meeting targets.
Qualifications
- Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Inorganic Chemistry; OR B.Tech/M.Tech in Polymer Technology.
- Experience: Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of relevant content/patent analysis experience.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent English communication skills, and proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred: Experience with chemical drawing tools (e.g., ISIS Draw).
