Job Description:
Buckman is looking for degreed chemical engineers to join its remote monitoring team in Chennai. The role involves creating and using advanced tools to monitor global customer facilities in the Paper, Water, Leather, and Performance Chemicals sectors. Responsibilities include detecting and responding to system anomalies, optimizing system performance remotely, assisting with installations, device management, user acceptance testing, and collaborating with sales and service stakeholders. Night shifts are part of the rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer facilities using digital tools and remote systems
- Detect, diagnose, and respond to system anomalies in real time
- Optimize system performance remotely
- Assist with installations, commissioning, and device management
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to maintain consistency and efficiency
- Participate in user acceptance testing and system validation
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in chemical engineering
- Hands-on experience with open-source analytics tools (R, Python, MATLAB)
Expertise in:
- Advanced Excel usage
- Data analytics and visualization platforms (SAS, Power BI, KNIME, RapidMiner)
- Internet of Things (IoT) applications
Skills:
