Job Description
The Research Associate will perform synthetic chemistry reactions, purification techniques, and operate laboratory equipment to support ongoing discovery projects. The role also involves recording experimental results, ensuring sample analysis, and maintaining safety and compliance with Syngene standards.
Research Associate Key Responsibilities
- Perform synthetic chemistry reactions, reaction work-ups, and compound purification using chromatography, crystallization, and preparative TLC.
- Submit synthesized samples for analysis, record results, and update supervisors on progress.
- Maintain detailed experiment records in laboratory notebooks or e-systems.
- Adhere strictly to Syngene’s EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) guidelines.
- Ensure timely completion of mandatory safety and data integrity training.
- Report equipment breakdowns promptly to maintenance teams.
- Comply with waste segregation and emergency procedures as per EHSS norms.
Research Associate Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong knowledge of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms.
- Ability to independently solve synthetic problems.
- Proficiency in purification and analytical interpretation.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and equipment.
