PhD Position at IIT- Job Description
IIT Jammu is seeking applications from motivated and skilled candidates for the role of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST-sponsored project titled:
“Investigations of Affordable and Scalable High-Energy Density Cathodes for Sodium-Ion Batteries”
under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Salunkhe and Dr. Ankit Tyagi.
The position not only involves research on cutting-edge energy storage technologies but also provides an excellent opportunity for selected candidates to convert the JRF position into a Ph.D. program at IIT Jammu, subject to the institute’s admission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental and computational research on high-energy density cathodes for sodium-ion batteries.
- Collaborate with research teams to meet project milestones and objectives.
- Prepare research reports, publications, and presentations for project progress.
- Assist in laboratory experiments, data collection, and result analysis.
PhD Position at IIT – Educational Qualifications
- B.Tech/BE in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or allied disciplines.
- M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics with a valid GATE or CSIR-NET qualification.
Skill
Strong academic background and research interest in materials science and energy storage technologies.
