Job Description
As a Fragrance Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing both proactive and reactive fragrance projects. Your role will include building and maintaining a local fragrance library, collaborating with perfumers, and guiding fragrance development to meet client briefs. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and HQ teams to detect market trends, develop fragrance solutions, and present them to clients, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop fragrances and build collections with the FDM team.
- Create, maintain, and upgrade the fragrance library in India.
- Guide perfumers in their developments and recommend submissions aligned with brief parameters.
- Track and share knowledge of market products across categories with FDMs and HQ perfumers.
- Detect olfactive trends and market needs, turning them into concrete fragrance solutions.
- Manage fragrance projects and lead proactive development initiatives.
- Present fragrances to clients alongside Sales teams.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Creation & Development, Innovation & Technology, and Regulatory teams.
- Stay updated on fragrance industry trends and their impact on the business.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Fragrance Development.
- Strong olfactive understanding and raw material knowledge.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused and a collaborative team player.
